Participation Awards
Our goal at Dick Pond Racing is to create a community of runners supporting one another, and we believe that participation is the key to being an active and visible part of that community. In an effort to promote higher participation at DPR events and races, we have created participation award tiers, intended to reward all DPR runners that make an effort to be an active and visible part of our community. We realize that every runner has their own unique reasons for running or being a part of DPR, so there are several ways to earn participation points toward our simple, three-tier reward benchmarks. Earn one point for each of the following categories:
Store Champion (1 point) Become a Store Champion of DPR by submitting your first participation point and receive DPR bibSNAPS! City Champion (5 points) Become a City Champion of DPR by accumulating 5 participation points throughout the calendar year. As a City Champion you will receive a pair of DPR custom racing socks. *Earn up to 2 points of your 5 points wearing your team gear at races outside the team race calendar. Regional Champion (10 points) Become a Regional Champion of DPR in your local area by accumulating 10 participation points throughout the course of the calendar year. For recognition, you will receive a limited edition DPR neck gaiter. *Earn up to 4 of your 10 points wearing your team gear at races outside the team race calendar. National Champion (20 points) Become a National Champion of DPR everywhere you go by accumulating 20 participation points throughout the year. Top tier award TBD. *Earn up to 8 of your 20 points wearing your team gear at races outside the team race calendar. |
Track Your Points!
Points will be self reported via online form. Each athlete is responsible to submit and review their participation points on a timely basis in order to get credit. We will be using the honor system, so please don’t abuse it. Please post pictures of yourself wearing your DPR team gear to our Facebook group or Instagram with the hashtag #dickpondracing.
